it sucks to come to parade w no voice cos
1. you cant cheer along. somehow yelling like a banshee gives me additional strength. yep I love cheering + cca is the only time I can scream my lungs out for a good reason (yall shd cheer ok)
2. your jiayou comes out so wrong(actually barely comes out)

basically this parade we screwed many many things up badly. thinking back, was there ever a parade we didn't screw up.

hmm yay so we fell in on the dot phew. we had attire check and basically still many imperfections even though CIs reprimanded(or told off or scolded yall/u idrk I wasn't there anyway it was jus what I heard from yall) last Friday. our flaps need to be ironed down n our berets still need improvement!!! some of yall boots damn shiny sia wl teach meh pls. badges also not pinned properly(I mean like eg not aligned) haiS

ya so we had changing. we aimed for 5 min but we exceeded by a lot??

felt kinda stupid for sitting out after running w nancy like ee stupid cough and stupid throat. stupid viral infection.

ya so only 6 of us got to pitch a tent. immA jus call em team 1. while the other team was waiting(lets call dis team 2), we cheered and gave comments to help the other team. i realised that its easier to spot our mistakes and wat we shd hv done at that time instead of running/giving eye power from the sidelines. on the ground we may kinda lose our bearings and its harder to see what is there to do. anyway maam came over n asked if i felt well enough to join in for the next and i said yes/i think so/smth liddat and maam was like but then your voice aka i wasn't well HAHA I tried to explain but i got a feeling i jus made things weirder and maam was probs trying hard not to laugh cos all my squaddies in team 2 were laughing at any rate i probs sounded like a chicken and other than that wheezing sounds which were meant to be words -_-

they did well for tent pitching whoop whoop!!!! set a new record ay. beats the 22 min 38 sec one we had. idrk the new record but it think its 20 min smth or 21 min smth. then we got news team 2 couldn't get to pitch :( its ok theres always another day

ya so changing again. we exceeded(again hais) and we got a ton of stuff confiscated. Now we have 4500 more punishment points okay ugh. and then one of us was in quarter u (she cldnt wear full u cos uni parts confiscated) so maam asked us what we wanted to do. i accidentally blurted out change bc i thought maam meant all of us had to be in the same attire for her to do drills? i mean like standardise. and maam asked if we wanted changing parade and omg I was pretty scared cos i didn't want to cause the squad more trouble. at any rate i shd nvr make stupid guesses like that. i guess she jus didn't get to do drills w a few other ppl who were unable to do drills.


hmm tbh our drills not v good tdy? like bangings not v coordinated and some of us are just not alert so we got semula-ed a lot which was no uncommon thing anyway. we shd be more alert so that we dun lag or do the drill wrongly.

happy cos we learnt a new drill!!!! its like saluting n the timing is like the one used for taat sedia. idrk how to spell it correctly so I'm not risking it. hmm most of us salute to more than 45 deg so ya iits kinda weird. anyway we finally found a use for the mirror. we fell in in front of the mirror and maam was like can smile isit. we practised in twos in front of the mirror, like the drill and the maams would give us comments n the person on the right times. mine went q awkwardly. ok first i m self conscious and I'm not comfortable w staring at myself i mirrors. so i ended up closing my eyes while bringing my hand up n well i kinda didn't look straight ahead and maam was like dun close your eyes and smth like look in front. at the same time i was trying not to laugh and i was like biting my lip and maam was like laugh laugh and i started laughing a bit oops. how do ppl keep a straight face??? anyways mam herself was laughing lol

so yay pretty much near the end of today cos we had a bit of debrief ya.

haha so i asked gw what she felt abt tdy cos it was like her first parade in a term. n she was like i realised there was no such thing as a perfect parade. tbh this is true. there is only the matter of how well/badly the parade went

2 MORE DAYS TO HOLIDAY

technically 3 more days but Thursday half day woot!! i hope yall are doing well, jiayou guys a few more days until 'holidays'. take a break but also revise for eoy ok WE CAN DO IT !! sec 2 ending soon hais so fast:( if yall stress we can go ecp together or something. i was supposed to blog yesterday but i got distracted by all the vlives lol

foot bandage?

hello good afternoon

other than what happened yesterday we also learnt a new bandage!! yay!! so the bandage is for the foot as you can alr tell from the post title (i am not creative i know) i am not good with words so i cant rlly explain it so here is a vid

everything is similar other than how she tied it. instead of tying a knot at the back you tie a reef knot at the front and then you tuck it into the bandage and tadah! magic! no its (k)not sorry i am starting to get lamer this is how it should look like when its done

cndc!! (finally)

omg ya its finally cndc. kinda been waiting for today since last yr

crii I aldr miss the trngs n tdy crii
I was looking at the clock constantly thinking oh had it been ytd we would have been having ndc trng or smth liddat. anyway I was watching the ug ppl from the sec school in front do drills n prepare for their ndc

got kinda sentimental ytd realising tat it was the final trng. kinda got feet bbq and I was rly tempted to hop from one foot to it was burning hot on our feet another cuz the canvas shoes are pretty useless. first few minutes are okay but after that its ow ow ow till u r given any command tat required movement from ur feet. this was ytd ah

hmm the heat from the sun didn't bother me but the heat on my feet did? I think it wasn't that sunny.v funny. I rmb watching a classmate of mine in ndc frm another cca applying sunblock n I was like wtheck. not criticizing other ugs ok I'm jus like amazed I didn't even bother and much less thought about it(standing under the sun)hmm much care for my body

I took 2 hours to prep my uni r yall proud. mainly jus polishing boots cuz I haven't done it in a million years. I tried to sleep at 10 but everytime I lay down, I would think oh I haven't done this yet n I wld stand up and go about doing it. this happened a lot of times till my mum yelled at me to go to sleep I guess. I couldn't fall asleep anyway

yea so woke up at 0430 but surprisingly not sleepy at all? past few days even tho I slept more n took coffee I could still fall asleep, but tdy I was super nervous but hyped up at the same time. when we reached sch the door wasn't open yet?

I kinda loved that the parade was out of school bc that meant a bus trip!! the bags were kinda annoying

sir why u walk so fast(omg I typed farts wtheck)like dammit I was hving a lot of problems keeping up n our arms were pretty sore from carrying our bags(arm power much)

the whole parade was jus cooool ya. I was excited when we finally fell in at the tent like structure. I hope I wasn't trembling that badly. I was more nervous about screwing up than the attention lmao. in fact, I didn't even care that ppl were watching

my belok(?) was getting better I guess but still much room for improvement. idk but I think we were a lot better when we were in hormat position during the anthem? idk for me and a couple of others we didn't feel like dying as we had the first time we tried it. I mean, it still hurts like hell but we no longer feel like we are breaking from within. maybe bc we got music this time so we could lose ourselves in the music n not concentrate on when the hell would we be allowed to put our hands down. relieved I didn't miss the drum beats for kekenan lurus? phew is less than what I can say

and when we finally marched off and the parade ended, it felt so brief. idk how long it lasted but it seemed so brief that I was kinda in disbelief

gw is pretty creepy like she sneaked up on me n made me scream -_- as least she no longer constantly pokes me like last yr. she briskwalked like wow shes so much more active than us HAHA we too lazy run esp me n jap(that's why we fat HAHA)

gee I didn't even know what to do the remaining time. I was mainly jus walking around aimlessly
me n gw decided to jus draw I guess lol like w the chalk. others helped too yay. our drawing was pretty big so I'm not sure what to say if u missed it lol. at first we wrote smth like cedar npcc '15 to '18 cuz we r the 15 to 18 batch, but later we realised our mistake after maam pointed it out n char added an infinity symbol behind it. solution presents itself :)

we went for banja ltr n ok I'm gonna admit I still dunno how to banja ok. banja is super fun but its more having urself ripped in half due to the difference in pace HAHA. (preg)nancy stepped on my shoe so it was on the verge or falling off but I cld not slip it back on so I jus continued banja-ing. n great, my shoe fell off so I banja-ed w one shoe n I was like noooo as I watched the distance between me n my shoe widen HAHA. kinda embarrassed when afterwards maam picked up the shoe n asked who did it belong to lmao. lesson learnt-NEVER wear loose shoes. cannot count how many times I got stepped on so pretty thankful we weren't in boots

hmm gw said we were ok so yay! she said she saw some ppl kinda lag tho so it kinda proves ppl can rly see everything?

ndc rly taught us a lot of things, like being resilient and was the thing that led to many of our firsts. it also helped us improve our drills a lot(tho prob still not v gd quality) n for me it kinda revived my love for nP? idk abt u.

hmm any memorabilia from ndc trng for u? hmm for me yes. I kinda ran into a wall while rushing for trng on weds or ytd n I slammed my hand against a door handle. so now I have a beautiful bruise that's even prettier than my face on my arm HAHA. I prob looked like i fell in love w the wall. still cant stop laughing at how stupid n blur I was not to see the wall approaching lmao not my first walk-in anyway HAHA.

NDC 16

hi everyone how's NDC today..? Actually kind of missing NDC already because it's our last time as GOH. Anyway i think we all did great as a contingent after a lot of hard work :)  Even so, i think we need to improve on our arm swings. Also didn't end up having squad bonding but it's okay i think we bonded spiritually during the parade HAHA 

ATC coming up soon and i hope the next extra training is going to be really beneficial ( at least tues and wed is holiday ) Quite nervous for camp bc not so sure what to do..but CTs finally over for o level which means we can relax abit before next fri, JIAYOU IP Remember to practice the dance - next mon after training.
